Take a Trip Into Ancient History

Pompeii is a truly ancient city, and is home to a number of ancient ruins. One of the most notable landmarks in Naples is Mount Vesuvius, that’s right, the volcano that erupted some 2,000 years ago, burying and preserving the city of Pompeii in ash. The ruins of Pompeii, and of Herculaneum are two amazing archeological sites that you can visit in your time in Pompeii. You can explore homes, shops, and public spaces as though you were transported back in time.

Stand in Pompeii and gaze at the volcano in the distance. Stand in a Herculaneum home.

If you don’t want to spend all of your time in these above ground ruins, take a trip to the underground Napoli Sotterranea. Ruins of Greek civilizations sit beneath the city, making history always right beneath your feet.

Eat Neapolitan Pizza
